DIRECTIONS FOR USAGE AND USER TERMS OF AGREEMENT

 

Dictionary Navigation Instructions:

There are two methods, links and bookmarks, of navigation used in this document to enable you to easily locate the definitions you seek.

LINKS: These are contained within the body of the dictionary. The Table of Indexes, above, and the individual alphabetic indexes, contain links. There are also links that return you to the index. Links are indicated when the pointer changes from an arrow  to a pointing hand .

BOOKMARKS: These are displayed when the Bookmark Icon  in the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Click the icon to display the bookmarks. Click the plus sign, +, to expand OR the minus sign, -, to shrink the bookmark tree. Click the word to jump to that selection in the dictionary.

SEARCH FEATURE: You may search the Dictionary for specific words by clicking on the “FIND” line on the Adobe Reader toolbar.  Avoid using of general terms like “wool,”  “textile,” or “silk.”  These words will bring up numerous searches.

DEFINITIONS: Words defined are in a rust-color text.  Also provided with the definition is the terms category, such as textile, accessory, menswear, etc. 

RULES FOR DICTIONARY USERS: 

Subscribers are allowed to print one copy of the definitions.  This a rule for our entire online Library.  You are NOT allowed to download to your computer, CD, electronic devices, email, put on other websites or distribute the Dictionary in any manner.  Please keep in mind that downloading the Dictionary costs our website in bandwidth transfer which in turn will raise the subscription price to all subscribers. Users are not permitted to share passwords.  The Costume Galley Websites monitors all activity in our password secured areas.  Excessive usage by an ISP is questioned and the subscriber can cause lose of privileges.  Logs are keep daily of all usage.  No refunds will be issued for lose of privileges.
